My springer is eating her excrement as soon as she has done it,she is also very thin even though she eats regular and vet says he doesnt know why and says she is a healthy weight. can any one advise,and as anyone else had this problem with their dog.

There are various reasons that have been put forward for poo eating, from dietary deficiency,Scavenger behavior, Anxiety or boredom.
Most often the motivation for eating feces is just not known.
Some Dogs can't resist a taste morsel of poo, I think this is a common Problem and I am sure Pearl will grow out of it. Owners find this habit in their pet disgusting. In addition to being socially unacceptable, eating feces exposes the dog to parasites and diseases. So, what is a dog owner to do? This problem is easier to prevent than cure, I would make it hard for Pearl to eat her poo as soon as she has done her poo clean it up ,be strict with her and if /when she moves to her poo a sharp LEAVE IT !! and when she does leave it lots of praise and may be a treat,I am sure she will soon learn that it is better not to eat her poo.You say she is thin but the vet says she is a healthy weight maybe try indroducing a little extra in to her diet a little chicken or mince maybe or just different type of food , you dont say what she is eating or how often you are feeding her, I wouldn't worry to much Im sure she will soon spring up into a fine springer ( send in a photo please )
